The Gordon Asciak Tennis Academy has been hosting tennis players from many parts of the world for the last 10 years.

We are quality driven and very proud of our standards. Our academy and the facilities which support it is very well located and our professional and friendly staff members are always ready to assist the tennis players who want to train at our academy.

It is a proven fact that our Academy has produced most of Malta’s top players. The best product is Matthew Asciak currently Malta Champion and also was ranked no 815 on the ATP Rankings.

In the U /14 European age group Matthew was ranked no 4.

Qualifications

Level 2 of the British Tennis Coaches Association.

Level 2 of the ITF Coaches Federation.

Career

Malta Champion for 14 years. Represented Malta in the Junior Wimbledon Tennis
Championships. Represented Malta in 16 Davis Cup Competitions. Played German
Team Tennis for 14 years. Gold medal in the Small States of Europe Games in
Malta in 1993, Silver medal in Luxembourg in 1995, bronze medal in Liechtenstein
in 1999 and bronze medal in San Marino in 2001. Played professional Tennis for
16 years.

Helen Asciak - Academy Director and Coach.

Qualifications

Level 1 of the ITF Tennis Federation Coaches.

Career.

Malta Champion for 13 years. Represented Malta in 3 editions of the Junior
Wimbledon Championships. Winner of 4 gold medals in The Small States of
Europe Games in Monaco, Andorra, Cyprus and Malta. Represented Malta in
many Federation Cup editions.

Matthew Asciak

Malta Champion for the last 6 years. Was ranked 815 on the ATP Rankings.
Matthew works as a tennis coach at the Academy and is an excellent sparring
partner for top players. Matthew still travels to take part in various tournaments
and futures tournaments and is also the no 1 player in the Davis Cup Team.
Matthew also conducts on court physical training sessions.

The academy also has 3 other coaches who help out in coaching and use these
players as sparring partners for promising players. These players also represent
Malta in the Davis Cup and Federation Cup events.
